Privacy Policy

Effective date: 26 July 2026

Luna IPTV Player is an independent media player. Luna does not provide IPTV channels, playlists, subscriptions or other media.

Data Luna stores on your device

Luna stores the profiles, playlist URLs, provider usernames and passwords, favorites, hidden and reordered items, playback history, guide data, settings and device-sync material needed to provide the features you choose. Provider credentials are protected using Android Keystore-backed encrypted storage. This information is not sent to the Luna developer.

Deleting a profile removes its associated local data. Uninstalling Luna removes app data under Android's normal application-storage rules. Luna disables Android cloud backup for its app data.

Connections to your IPTV provider

When you add or use a playlist, Luna connects directly to the server address you provide. The provider receives the network information and credentials necessary to authenticate and deliver its catalogue, guide, artwork and streams. That provider's practices are governed by its own privacy terms.

Some IPTV providers support only unencrypted HTTP. If you choose an http:// server, credentials, playlist activity and viewing requests may not be encrypted in transit. Use HTTPS where your provider supports it.

Device sync and camera

Luna's optional device-sync feature transfers selected settings—including provider profiles and credentials—directly between devices on the same local network. The transfer is encrypted with a random, single-session key contained in the QR pairing code. Luna does not relay or retain the transfer on a developer server. Anyone who can scan or copy an active pairing code may import that transfer until its short-lived session expires, so pairing codes should be treated as sensitive.

Camera access is requested only when you choose to scan a Luna device-sync QR code. QR images are processed on the device and are not uploaded. You can deny camera permission and use the other available transfer method.

Diagnostics

Luna contains no advertising, analytics, session-recording or third-party crash-reporting SDK. Google Play may provide the developer with aggregated Android Vitals crash and ANR information for Play-installed builds. Provider credentials and authenticated stream URLs are not intentionally logged or included in those reports.

Sharing and sale of data

The Luna developer does not sell personal information. Luna does not share profile, credential, playlist or viewing-history data with advertisers, data brokers or analytics services. Data sent at your direction to an IPTV provider or through direct local device sync is limited to the relevant function described above.

Children

Luna is a general-purpose player for media sources selected by the user and is not directed to children under 13. The developer does not knowingly collect children's personal information.

Changes and contact

Material changes will be dated on this page and reflected in the Play listing where required. Questions or deletion/support requests can be sent to lunaiptvplayer@proton.me. The developer cannot delete data held independently by an IPTV provider or Google; contact those services directly for their records.
